The motto of Detroit is “Speramus Meliora; Resurget Cineribus,” which translates to “We hope for better things; It will rise from the ashes.” Every person has been through difficult chapters in their lives – abuse, death, loss, suffering, health struggles, and other difficulties – but like Detroit, we all have the power to rise from the ashes and there is always hope. Every single person has a purpose, a mission on this earth – and you are no exception. You were created for a unique purpose, you are beautiful and you are blessed. No matter what you’ve been through or what you’re going through, you will be reminded through this presentation – that you are beautiful, blessed and you were created for a purpose. You’ve heard the saying “Empowered Women, Empower Women.” But the reality is, when a woman herself is empowered, she is able to empower the world. When a woman is empowered, she is able to be the person she was created to be and live our her life’s mission. Forgotten About Populations
Missing and Murdered Indigenous women (MMIW) is a current genocide. Women are the fastest growing population in jail and prison. Women and children are being trafficked into the shadows. There are numerous populations that are never spoken about in the media and rarely recognized by us in our day-to-day life. It’s important that we open our eyes and spread awareness to these forgotten people. Audience: everyone.
Overcoming Adversity and Becoming the Person You Were Meant to Be
We have all had difficulties in our life; whether it’s bullying, health issues, abuse, suffering, or other adversity in our life. But we all have the power to rise above anything we have been through and oftentimes what we have overcome helps form us into the person we were created to be. Audience: everyone.
Stand Up for Your Sisters
Collaboration over competition. Support over opposition. In a world that pits women against one another, a media and a world that focuses on women’s division, and social media that encourages competition and insecurity – we need to rise above it all and support our sisters. Women are stronger together and we have the power to lead the revolution. Audience: women and girls.
The Power of One: You Have the Power to Change the World
Every single person was created for a unique purpose and the world needs you to be who you were created to be. You have the power to change the world and to be the change that we all want to see in the world. Own your purpose and embrace who you were created to be, and you will change the world. True Female Empowerment
Our world likes to put women in boxes and we are encouraged to do the same. We judge ourselves and other women for their beliefs, their politics, what they post on social media, what they don’t post on social media, and more. But the reality is, we are more than how we vote or what we believe or one simple facet of our being. We are multifaceted beings, and we have hopes and dreams. We need to stop following what our culture and our world says is “female empowerment” and learn how to embrace the many facets of our being – and only then will we truly be empowered. Audience: women and girls.
